Our motto is, Where Memories Meet for a good reason. The backbone of the site are the memories you’ll find among its many pages, but the beating heart of this community are the members of Scribas. Members who have joined us to post their memories, yes, but above all to find and interact with others who share these memories.

Here is a brief outline of what you can find on Scribas and why you should join us.

Share Memories

Scribas above all gives you, our member, the chance to get your memories online.

• A blog of memories. Each blog entry, photos included, can help to construct your very own personal archive of memories from the past. Publish your memories for the whole Scribas community who can read and respond.
• Memory Pages. Create a page for your school, the 3 towns you’ve lived in, your favorite TV shows, your brother’s army unit, your favorite football team. Create a community of Memory Pages that are relevant to you. You and every other Scribas member can contribute to create a true memory databank.
• Flashbacks. Add video, audio and photo content to trigger some powerful memories. Where were you when…? Upload your own personal photos or videos. Interview relatives and upload audio for others to listen to.
• Our Forum. If you’ve got a question about the past, someone will have an answer. Does anyone know what year that store opened? What was that team's pitcher called? Who made the TV ad with the polar bears?

Educators can use Scribas to get young minds involved in learning about the past and recording the memories of relatives for others to share.

Use our search tools and in-depth profiles to find connections from the past. Find old friends based on year of birth, location, schools attended and many other ways.

Our dynamic content is relevant to you. Whether you’re from San Diego, Saskatchewan or Swansea, we’ll present content that is of more interest to you and enable you to find other local Scribas members more easily. Scribas is truly a site that wraps itself around you, the user.

Join Scribas Groups and find other Scribas members who share your interests and memories of the past. Our Memory Pages will enable you to create portals for cites, schools, sports teams, TV shows and more – all contributed to by the Scribas community. On a Memory Page, you’ll read the recollections of those who:

• lived in your town.
• followed your sports team.
• attended your school or college.
• shared the same passion for a long-forgotten TV show.
• drank in the same pub as you.
• served on the same warship.
