The Mumbles Mile

Not just one pub, but a mile of them along the seafront of the village next to Swansea, South Wales. I remember the traditional 'university' Saturday evening of starting at The White Rose and working your way along to Cinderella's club at the pier. Apart from The Antelope and Vincent's, I forget the other pubs. Has anyone else done 'The Mile' and can you remember the other pubs (around 1990)?

I remember by the time we got out of the last pub (something like the twelfth or thirteenth) nobody was in a particularly good state, and the walk to the nightclub seemed to go on forever. It was the longest 'leg' of the mile without a break but in reality couldn't have been more than a couple of hundred metres.

Then there was also the added anticipation of finding out how long the queue was to get into the club. Our hearts would sink if it was too long and we'd complain about all the new faces who'd turned up. On the other hand, finding hardly anyone in the queue was like finding £10 in a pair of old jeans!
