After Signing Up

Once you've signed up to Scribas, here are some of the things you might like to do:

  1. Fill out your profile. A complete profile is very important because it will allow you to find other Scribas members who, for example, come from the same town, state or country, went to the same school or college as you, was at school in the same town in the same period as you, and so on. It will also allow those same members to find you more easily too.
  2. Begin your Scribas Blog. Every Scribas member can keep their own blog in which they can write down memories of their childhood, their family home, their first school and much more. Each blog entry can be tagged and contain a photo. And blog entries can also be attached to Memory Pages which a member considers relevant, such as the Memory Page of their town, their school, their favorite sports team and more besides.
  3. Create a Memory Page. Memory Pages can be created for towns, school, teams, TV shows, pubs/bars and military units/bases/ships. As well as creating a Memory Page, you can also join other Memory Pages and once a member, you can attach any content you publish on Scribas (forum posts, video pages, blog entries, etc.) to any of your Memory Pages. Find out more about Memory Pages.
  4. Create a Flashbacks Page. Our Flashbacks section includes some great video, photo and audio content: "Oh, I remember that!" you'll say as our Flashbacks take you back to your favorite TV show, a long-forgotten soda pop commercial or a photo of your hometown's High Street in the 1950s.
  5. Join a Scribas Group. You can also join a Scribas Group where our members form their own little communities where those participating may share a hobby, come from the same town or any other connection. Check out the latest Scribas Group directory and perhaps think about starting your own group. Find out more about Scribas Groups.
  6. Post on the Forum Our Forum will give you the chance to ask and answer questions relating to memories. Visit the Scribas Forum.
  7. Sign up to the Scribas newsletter, "Memory Lane". This monthly newsletter will contain site news and a selection of the very best of recent content from across the site. In addition, you'll find information about new local members and content that is relevant to you.
