A talent show old-style!
The presenter, Hughie Green, had his own catchphrase 'and I mean that most sincerely, folks' and was often imitated by impersonators of the time, even long after the show came off the air.
Famous winners included:
Bobby Crush, Mary Hopkin, Les Dawson, Little and Large, Peters and Lee, Lena Zavaroni, Frank Carson, Max Boyce, Bonnie Langford, Pam Ayres.
