This is probably still the best police series ever made. The characters and interaction between them is more realistic than anything else that has been made. I should know, I was in the Met for 18 years!!

Without a doubt my favorite cop show from this era. I now live in the US and watched this with my wife, who is American, who didn't understand more than 20% of what they said.

and what a theme tune too. They don't make them like they used to. The 70s was the high point for TV show theme tunes, especially it seems for cop shows: Hawaii Five O, Streets of San Francisco, Starsky and Hutch....others??
