From Scribas
About ScribasWho is behind Scribas?Scribas was conceived and is run by Neil Coghlan, from the UK. Neil is also an English teacher living and working on the Italian island of Sardinia. The idea for the site was a combination of ideas that came to Neil and his brother Paul in September 2006. What does the name Scribas mean?Scribas means "scriptor" or "scribe" in Latin; one who writes down stories and memories from the past. It seemed very apt and the name stuck. Our tagline Where Memories Meet had a nice sound to it thanks to its alliteration and described a perfect combination of social community and memories. Are there any work positions available at Scribas?Scribas is a growing company and website. If you would like to work for the website that has put memories on the internet map, visit our Scribas Positions page to see what's available. How do I use Scribas? If you want any information regarding how you can get the best out of the Scribas site, see our User Guide.
